Jagadish Shettar is the former Chief Minister of Karnakata and is the candidate of BJP for the Lok Sabha 2024 from Belgaum (Belagavi). In a speech on Thursday, Jagadish Shettar said,
“Belagavi is not new to me. I have been connected to Belagavi for 30 years. I will take all leaders into confidence and work. Hubballi city is my birthplace. Belagavi is my ‘Karma Bhoomi’. There is talk that I am an outsider. Belagavi is my ‘Karma Bhoomi’. I will buy a house in Belagavi and stay here. Belagavi is not unfamiliar territory to me, I share a three-decade-long association with this region. My approach to leadership is built on trust and collaboration with all stakeholders.”
Shettar said he would do everything to unite everyone to make sure that the Bharatiya Janata Party wins the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Pointing out his work, he said, he has done many things for the welfare of the people of Belgaum, he has served people during COVID-19 and the flood. He also pointed out the inauguration of Suvarna Soudha.
