Belgaum News: The people of the Belgaum district are facing a water crisis and severe drought conditions. Amid all these, on Saturday,13 April 2024, the city experienced heavy rainfall and hailstorms in some regions of the Belgaum district.
Belgaum is experiencing rainfall from a couple of days giving some relief to the people amid extreme hot temperatures. Belgaum is usually known for its pleasant temperature.
The rainfall continued for almost an hour leading to water entering the shops in Bovi Gully in Belgaum.
Not just in Belgaum, the districts near Belgaum including Chikkamagaluru, Davangere, Haveri, Shimoga, Vijayapur, and Gadag also experienced heavy rainfall and hailstorms on Saturday.
In a tragic incident, a woman got struck by lightning and died in Vijayapur whereas 18 sheep were killed by lightning in Shimoga district.
