Prakash Hukkeri is a son of Shri Babanna Hukkeri and Smt Annapurneswari Hukkeri. He was born on 5 March 1947 in Examba, Karnataka. He completed his education till class 12 from SSLC and by profession, he was a farmer.
After a few years, he joined the Indian National Congress as a political member, won for the very first time, and served as a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly in the years 1988-1994.
Political Career of Prakash Hukkeri
From 1992 to 1994, he was the Chief Whip of the Karnataka Legislative Council. He became very popular due to his dedication, work, and humble nature and that’s why he served as a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from 1994 to 2014 i.e., for 5 terms.
In between, from 2004 to 2006 he was also the Agriculture Product Marketing Minister of Karnataka and from 2013-2014, Minister of Small Industries and Mujarai, Government of Karnataka.
