Belgaum News: Alleging PM Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah, Supriya Shrinate, All India Congress Committee spokesperson, said in Belgaum on Tuesday, “It is very unfortunate that Prajwal Revanna was allotted ticket, even though Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah knew about the scandal. It is tragic in fact”.
She told the media that PM Modi and other prominent leaders of BJP knew about the scandal of Prajwal Revanna that he had sexually assaulted thousands of women and had kept the videos in a pen drive six months ago.
After all these, the ruling party still agrees to give him the Hassan Lok Sabha election ticket.
Attacking PM Modi, she said, Mr. Modi has no feelings and does not care about the victims. He has not done anything in the last 10 years for the safety and welfare of girls and women in the country.
She added, “As far as the Hassan case is concerned, the Karnataka government will take all necessary steps as per law. The State government has already handed over the case to the SIT for investigation and action will be taken within the framework of the law. We will not play politics over it”.
Who is Prajwal Revanna
Prajwal Revanna is a Member of Parliament from the Hassan constituency. He is the grandson of former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda. He was booked in connection with an alleged sexual abuse case involving several women.
