Belgaum News: The people of Belgaum experiencing water scarcity. There are many villages in Belgaum where the drinking water is supplied through water tankers.
Amid all these serious situations, yesterday, the people of Belgaum experienced a flood situation which was unexpected. This happened as the Ghataprabha River is flooding leading to water-clogging in the streets of Belgaum.
To meet the requirement of water scarcity in the district of Belgaum, water was released yesterday from the Hidkal Dam reservoir in Belgaum into the Ghataprabha River.
This incident occurred yesterday in Mudalagi taluk. The flooding was such that it submerged the Sunadholi bridge connecting the Sunadholi-Mudalagi bridge.
