The police have arrested three fake journalist in Belagavi for blackmailing a woman government officer. The accused have been identified as Sameer Nisar Ahmed Sheikh aged 32, Abdul Rashid Makandar of age 51 and Mohammad Balekundri of age 51.
All the three journalist threatened her by secretly recorded her private videos. All the three have been arrested by the Malmaruti police. According to reports, the accused secretly installed hidden cameras inside the office residence and shot her private videos. They did this to claim a huge amount of money by threatening her.
The Malmurati police have seized 3 android phone of each along with a 64 GB pen drive, six hidden cameras, two memory cards, and an Innova car from their possession.
Commissioner Borse said the case is being probed from all angles and did not rule out the possibility of a larger blackmail racket. “Strict action will be taken. We are committed to curbing such fake journalist gangs,” he said.
