On one side the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has decreased the bus fares by 5% to 10% ahead of festivals and vacations, and the private owners of buses have increased the fares up to 3 times.

There are three government holidays between 7 April and 14 April. To meet the requirement, KSRTC has deployed 2250 more buses across the state for different cities.
