The JITO Ahimsa Run was held in Belagavi (Belgaum) on Sunday. More than 2,300 people participated in the run including children, youths, women, and senior citizens.
It was organized by the Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) at the Vidyaniketan school ground in Camp Area in Belgaum. It was a competitive race of 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km.
Apart from the general public, Veerdhavala Upadhye, JITO president, Maya Jain, JITO ladies wing president, Sanjay Patil, former MLA, and senior advocate Ravi Raj Patil also participated in the race.
The race is organized every year by the JITO to promote non-violence among people and spread the message of peace.
