Belagavi: Two brothers from the village Nilaji, Belagavi taluk, had a major dispute between them.
Both brothers, reportedly under the influence of ganja (Cannabis), engaged in a violet altercation leading the younger brother deceased to injuries, while the elder brother sustained serious injuries and it currently hospitalized on friday night in Nilajali village.
The deceased has been identified as Sushanta Subhasha Patil (20). His elder brother who was injured seriously and was rushed to the private hospital was identified as Omkara Subhas Patil (23).
The siblings were frequently reprimanded by their parents for neglecting the household chores , quarreled on Friday afternoon over a disagreement of who should take over the household work.
This altercation turned violent with devastating consequences later that night when both the brothers were smoking on the staircase of their two- story house. This argument later turned arrogant into a physical fight, during which both of them fell from the second floor of the house.
As per reports, Sushant died on spot and Omkara was rushed to the hospital.
Marihal police visited accident scene and it currently investigating the incident.
This incident is highlighting the growing concerns over Cannabis used in the region and has become a cause for alarm.
