During a recent Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting, tensions surfaced between Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar and Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi over the construction of a new party office in Belagavi.

As reported the sources, The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting witnessed a brief verbal erupted following a meeting after Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar made a comment on Belagavi.
Seemingly, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar emphasized the importance of ministers taking initiative in constructing new party offices in districts. He referenced the example of Woman and Child Development Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar initiative in building a new party office in Belagavi.
Satish Jarkiholi, Public Works Minister, minister incharge of Belagavi, reportedly took issue with D K Shivakumar’s to have taken exception by pointing out that he and other local leaders from the region had not contributed to the new party office in Belagavi.
The sharp response from Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi came in the backdrop of reports suggesting he was upset about being “sidelined” by DK Shivakumar during the Congress Working Committee(CWC) meeting held in Belagavi last month.
Furthermore, it created fueling tension between the two leaders.
