NEET 2026 Exam Cancelled- NTA To Conduct Re-Exam Soon

NTA has cancelled the NEET examination which was held on 3rd May, 2026.  The cancellation follows reports of official paper leaks and other irregularities that has been taken place in few centres. Inputs were shared with central agencies, and the Centre has directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conduct a detailed investigation on this matter .

It is observed that the paper was sold for money. The exact amount is unknown; some state it as Rs 30 lakh, while others say it cost Rs 20 or 25 lakh, or even as low as Rs 5 lakh perhaps for an individual “buyer”.

Investigation so far indicates that someone in Haryana (Gurugram) procured or got the paper from Maharashtra and circulated it further. An MBBS student from Keralam has reportedly shared the paper with Sikar.

The protesters raised anti-government slogans, demanding the disbanding of the National Testing Agency (NTA). They also burnt effigy of HRD Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The cancellation of NEET-UG 2026 has triggered uncertainty for over 22 lakh medical aspirants and reopened serious concerns over whether authorities failed to act despite repeated warnings after the 2024 paper leak controversy.

MORE UPDATES REGARDING THE NEET EXAMINATION WILL BE UPDATED SOON.
