Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Woman and Child Development Minister, who sustained serious injuries in the road accident in Belagavi, is currently undergoing treatment at a VOCC hospital in Belagavi.
Dr. Ravi Patil confirmed on her health stating that the minister’s health condition has shown improvement over the past 24 hours and is stable now.
“She is responding well to the treatment and is taking rest due to a spinal cord injury. There is no cause for concern at present.” Dr. Ravi stated while speaking to the reporters.
Furthermore, he even mentioned that Hebbalkar will require at least more ten days of rest to recover fully and attain a good health.
The car driver and the bodyguard who were also injured in the accident, have received medical care. MLC Channaraja Hattiholi, another individual who was also involved in the incident have also been advised rest.
Additionally, the treatment is expected to continue at Vijaya Hospital for another four days, after which the she, will likely be discharged and allowed to recuperate at home.
Various diagnostic tests, including an MRI Scan, have been conducted monitor her recovery progress.
Dr. Ravi comforted the citizens by stating,” There is no need for concern. The minister is on the path to recovery.”
