Belgaum News Live: On the occasion of the 100th Belgaum Congress Session going to take place in December, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will write a letter to Barack Obama requesting him to join the event.
The final decision is still under discussion but most likely the proposal will be sent to the former US president Barack Obama.
Why Barack Obama to be Called for the Congress 100th Session in Belagavi?
Mahatma Gandhi presided over the first session of Belgaum’s Congress in 1924, and it is now the 100th session. Barack Obama is an admirer of Mahatma Gandhi which is the reason why Obama will be an ideal choice for the session.
Barack Obama once said, “America’s former President Barack Obama had said that Mahatma Gandhi Ji is not only India’s leader, but he is a global leader. Our intention is to create awareness and bring transition among people who speak lightly about such a global leader”.
In his book, A Promised Land, Obama wrote, “As a youngster, I had studied his writings and he gave a voice to my deepest instincts”
The winter session will held at Belgaum’s Suvarna Soudha (legislature building)
