Ikshupex Exhibition Draws Significant Number Of Visitors And Participators In Belagavi

Under the North Karnataka Region of Karnataka Circle,Vijay Vadoni,the superintendent of the Indian Postal Department, Belagavi Postal Division is hosting the District Level Philatelic Exhibition, Ikshupex 2025,for 3 days from January 8 to January 10 at Mahaveer Bhavan, Hindwadi in Belagavi.

Belagavi also known as Sugar-Bowl of Karnataka, celebrated it’s sugarcane farmers through this marvelous exhibition.

The event is organized with the help of the Belagavi Philatelic and Numismatic Group (BPANG).The organizing committee is headed by the Belagavi Post Office ,Belagavi Division. It also covers Belagavi, Gakok and Chikodi Postal Division.

Vijay Vadoni also said that,” Enjoy the Effervescence of Stamps” at Mahaveer Bhavan ,Hindwadi .

“The District-Level Philatelic Exhibition,Ikshupex 2025,will be open to the public from 10 a.m to 6 p.m ,which features the exhibition, workshops, special covers and cancelations.

Under the Competitive Class, the Participation in the Exhibition is open to all stamp collectors, the general public, youth and school children who resides in the Belagavi Revenue District. Competitions related to the philately will be organized for the school children, such as letter writing, and stamp design, during the exhibition. Students can also participate in the Competition.

All philatelists, young and old are encouraged to visit and engage the exhibition with workshops, celebrating the vibrant history of philately in Belagavi.


The deputy Superintendent,Iranna Mutnali, said that MPs Jagadish Shettar, Priyanka Jarkiholi,and Rajya Sabha Member Iranna Kadadi was the chief guests on the first day of the exhibition. Mahadev Shirur was also present in the event.

The event mainly aims to:
1.To promote the hobby of Philately.

2.To provide a platform for philatelists to display the collections.

3.To raise awareness about philately among enthusiasts.
