In his complaint to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Muktam Saab Hazrati stated that, “I bought a land from Adiveppa Munawalli. I have all the documents. But the gram panchayat president and the other members are falsely claiming that land belongs to the gram panchayat. Now we cannot buy food from the local shops in the village and no one brings their vehicle to my garage for repairing. We are being forced to leave the village. Local police have not helped us either.”
