Belagavi’s Annotsav 2025, A Grand Success with Record Crowds and Community Support

The 12th day Annotsav 2025, organized by the Rotary Club of Belagavi on the grounds of Angadi Engineering College will be concluding today (13/01/2006) , witnessing record football over the weekend.

The event had more than 300 food stalls offered which had offered diverse cuisine delights, attracting all the visitors and public from Belagavi city and the neighboring states.

According to reports as per the organizers, a total of 42,000 people visited the Annotsav event on Saturday and Sunday. A social worker, Chandrakant stated, “Every year, the club’s office bearers of the Rotary Club of Belagavi , despite being millionaires, volunteer selflessly to make Annotsava a success,” he remarked.

The income generated from the event supports numerous social initiatives in Belagavi city, making the Rotary Club a model of community service. Chandrakant added, “Their commitment to self-service is truly inspiring and continues to benefit the city immensely.”

The income which has been generated from the event will be used to do social work in the city of Belagavi. The rotatory of Belgaum is truly inspiring example of self service by it’s office barriers, he said.

The foods and snacks from different states attracted everyone to the festival, accordingly. The stalls in the event which was open at the festival, included, Lahori, Nizami, non-veg food and shops of clothes.

Prakash, a visitor to the event, highlighted the incredible variety of food on offer. “The diversity of cuisines is remarkable, with dishes from Punjabi, Gujarat, Hyderabad, Maharashtra, Rajasthani, Kolhapuri, Andhra, and Kerala regions,” he claimed.

There are over a hundred vegetarian stalls and more than 150 non-vegetarian stalls, making it a food lover’s paradise.

Rotary district governer, Sharad Pai, said that every year, the Rotary Club of Belgaum organizes 10 days of Annotsav but this time it was extended to 12 days.

This extension was made as per the demand of the peoples and there has been a lot of pressure to extend it for another four days. However, since there are various pre-scheduled programmes , we have planned to conclude the Annotsava on Tuesday,” he said.

The event tried to create awareness among the people through many cultural programs everyday and provided the visitors with entertainment, Sharad Pai stated.

According to the organizers, a total of 16,000 to 18,000 participants participated everyday and enjoyed variety of snacks and dishes.

A total of 20,000 people attended the event on Sunday and 22,000 people on Saturday.

The event was organized with the aim to share cultural diversity and invest the collected money into social service.

Annotsava, with its successful diverse offerings, continues to be a cornerstone of community spirit in Belagavi. The Rotary Club of Belgaum’s unwavering dedication to both organising the event and supporting social causes showcases the power of selfless service.
