As per the recent reports released by the Airports Authority of India, there is an increase in flight passenger traffic at Belagavi Airport (IXG) by 2.5% as compared to the previous month. This means that more people are now taking flights which depicts many things including an increased standard of living.
As per the report of AAI, the Belagavi Airport (IXG) had a total of 31,060 passengers during the month of April which is 2.5% higher than the month of March where total passengers at the airport were 30,290.
It is worth noting that the total flight movement in the month of April was 508 which is less than the previous month. This is because the cargo movement through flight was reduced in the month of April.
The cargo movement in the April month was 1.7 metric tons whereas in the March month, it was 2 metric tons.
According to AAI, the Belagavi Airport (IXG) has accommodated a total of 1,20,520 flight passengers from the month of January to April with 2102 flight movements including cargo movements.

As per the AAI data from January to April 2024, the total passenger footfall at Belagavi Airport (IXG) is 1,20,520, the total aircraft movement is 2,102, and the total cargo movement is 8.7 metric tons.
Comparing the passenger traffic from last year, according to a statement given by Airport Director S Thiyagarajan to TNIE, the Belagavi Airport shows an 80.6% increase in passengers in the month of February with 29,530 this year and 16,353 last year.
