₹6.65 Lakhs Found in a Car in Belgaum, Seized by Police

Belgaum New: Just before the Lok Sabha elections, the police of Belgaum seized ₹6.65 lakhs in a car. The car belongs to Amul Vidhyadhar, who was driving it at that time.

The news came on April 2, 2024, when the police of Belgaum seized a car at the Bachi checkpost in Belgaum and the cash was recovered on Tuesday morning It is suspicious for two reasons, the first being there were no relevant documents in the car, and secondly, these cases usually happen during or before any elections.

The Lok Sabha elections are nearing, and this could be the reason. The Static Surveillance Team (SST) seized the car and cash on Tuesday at the Bachi checkpost in Belagavi taluk near the Karnataka-Maharashtra border.

The SST team was led by Prashant Dixit.
