Yashvantpur-Pandharpur Express to Run From 25-30 June

Train no. 16541 Yashvantpur-Pandharpur Express to run between 25 June and 30 June on the occasion of Ashadhi Wari to ease the traveling of devotees. This train will be a great option for people and devotees traveling from Belagavi to Pandharpur for the Ashadhi Wari.

The decision came after the request of MP Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.

Likewise, Ramesh Narvekar, Nittoor, and Shantaram Gangaram Hebbalkar, Khanapur, also demanded MP Vishweshwar Hedge Kageri to start the Hubli to Pandharpur train which will be very helpful for the devotees traveling to Pandharpur.

MP Vishweshwar Hedge Kageri met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in New Delhi to express the demand of the people to run the special train on the auspicious occasion of Ashadhi Wari for the devotees.

Ashwini Vaishnav agreed to this and directed to start the special train on an immediate basis daily till the occasion last.

He also assured in case the train is unable to run regularly, a special train will be arranged to facilitate the devotees.

As per the sources, a train will run from Hubli at 08:00 am, reach Belagavi at 11:00 am, and reach finally its destination, Pandharpur.

What is Ashadhi Wari?

Ashadhi Wari or Pandharpur Wari is a festival or ritual performed by a large number of devotees every year at Pandharpur.

People from various places join the journey to Pandharpur pilgrimage at Maharastra which is dedicated to Lord Krishna.

The Ashadhi Wari holds immense significance in terms of its religious beliefs, culture, and devotion. A large number of people from various states come to join the yatra and seek the blessings of Lord Krishna.

This year, the Ashadhi Ekadashi is on July 17 and Ashadhi Wari is starting in two days in which devotees will cover 250 km in the span of 21 days.
