The South Western Railways (SWR) announced a special train to run on the routes of Belagavi-MIraj-Belagavi between 01 and 04 August. The decision was taken due to the torrential rain in Karnataka, especially in the Western Ghats, where the water levels of the Krishna and Ghataprabha rivers have surged significantly to over 3,00,000 cusecs and 73,000 cusecs respectively.
The conditions of the nearby area are very bad and it’s flooding in more than 44 bridges that are in the vicinity of the rivers. Many villages and cities have been affected by the monsoon.
MP Iranna Kadadi, in a press release on 30 July, announced that the Belagavi – Miraj special train TOD A-01 07301 will depart from Belagavi at 06:00 AM and arrive at 09:00 AM at Miraj.
The train 07302 will depart from Miraj at 09:50 AM and arrive at 12:50 PM at Belagavi. The train 07303 will depart from Belagavi at 01:30 PM and arrive at Miraj at 04:30 PM.
Similarly, train 07304 will depart from Miraj at 05:35 PM and arrive at Miraj at 08:35 PM.
