Mangala Suresh Angadi, former member of the Lok Sabha, politician of India and a member of Parliament from the Belagavi Parliamentary Constituency of the state of Karnataka.
Mangala Suresh Angadi was born on 26 October 1963 in the district of Karnataka state. She completed her higher studies from IIS College of Science in Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from Gokak,Karnataka
Her Father’s name is Shri Basavraj Koujalagi and her mother’s name is Smt. Lalita Koujalagi. She got married to Suresh Angadi in the year 1986. Suresh Angadi was the Former Minister of the State of Railways of India from 30 May, 2019 to 23 September,2020, born on 1st June 1955. He was a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party from Karnataka. He had won four polls of Lok Sabha back-to-back from Belagavi, before his demise in the year 2020.
Meanwhile, Mangala Suresh Angadi also has two daughters named Shradha Angadi and Dr Spoorthi.
Shradha Angadi, daughter of former Union Minister of Railways Suresh Angadi and Mangala Suresh Angadi is interested into a career as a big time Politics member.
Mangala Suresh Angadi, successfully contested the 2021 poll from Belagavi Lok Sabha, after the death of her husband. However, she won against Satish Jarkiholi, the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee working president by 5,240 votes. She is the first politician to defeat Satish Jarkiholi, as he had never lost an election in his political life of about 30 years.
In her tenure as a Member of Parliament, Mangala Suresh Angadi has participated actively in the parliamentary debates and raised several questions on various issues that are raised, including the infrastructural development in her constituency and is actively seen in concerns regarding road over bridge, railway lines, and the need for improved flight services from Airport. She has also addressed topics related to Education, and healthcare.
As of January 2025, Mangala Suresh Angadi currently continues to serve as the Member of Parliament (MP) and remains committed to the development of the district and the state of Karnataka with a strong focus on enhancement of transportation infrastructure to improve the quality of life for her society.
