The Belagavi Police Commissioner announced today that strict guidelines and strong security measures will be in place for the Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations on 1st November, 2025.

Announcing the security arrangements, the Commissioner stated that a comprehensive force deployment has been planned for the Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations. The deployment includes 180 officers, 2,300 police personnel, and 400 Home Guards, supported by 10 Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) and 8 Armed Reserve platoons. In addition, 10 surveillance drones will be operated to monitor key areas across the city.

Traffic and Parking Guidelines for Celebrations

To accommodate visitors arriving from different parts of the district, the police have designated four public parking areas for the Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations:

  • Sardar Ground
  • CPEd Ground
  • Empty space behind the Women’s Police Station
  • Court Complex parking area

To ensure smooth conduct of the Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations, the entry of large vehicles into the Rani Chennamma Circle area will be prohibited on 1st November, 2025. The City Corporation has also made seating arrangements for the public along all four roads encircling Chennamma Circle.

Public Guidelines on Sound and Banned Objects

Organizers have been strictly instructed to ensure a peaceful and orderly celebration by adhering to the following regulations:

  • Loud Music:
    Compliance with the Supreme Court directive prohibiting the use of loud music after 10:00 PM is mandatory.
  • Banned Equipment:
    The use of plasma music systems and laser lights is strictly prohibited during the celebrations.
  • Public Comfort:
    Considering the presence of children, women, and the elderly at Chennamma Circle, organizers are urged to avoid excessively loud music and maintain a pleasant atmosphere throughout the event.

Organizers bringing the ‘Roopaka Vahanas’ (tableau vehicles) are requested to limit their stay at Rani Chennamma Circle to ten minutes, after which they should proceed immediately to Kakatives Road. The public is advised to maintain a safe distance from the vehicles to prevent accidents and to cooperate fully with police instructions.

Additionally, the police department confirmed that an Anti-Stabbing Squad will be deployed. Officers will be equipped with Alco-Breath Analyzers and Narcotic Testing Kits to ensure public safety.

The Commissioner cautioned that Strict legal action will be taken against anyone using alcohol or cannabis (Ganja) or engaging in disruptive behavior.
