1.Dr. Prabhakar Kore Basic Science Research Center:
Dr. Prabhakar Kore Basic Science Research Center was established in the year 2012 . The research Center is situated in Nehru Nagar of Belagavi city in the state of Karnataka. It was founded with the aim of providing a platform for research at KAHER constituent units.
The Research Center has 10000 square feet laboratory space that houses Analytical Laboratory, Microbiological Laboratory, Cell Culture Laboratory and Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics Laboratory. The laboratories are mainly engaged in key areas like phytochemicals, drug delivery, molecular biology and genetics, microbiology, cell culture and cancer biology.
In Addition to the Investigator driven research by the faculty, the center also provides support for research by students and faculty of the constituent units of KAHER. Beside Research, the research center also conducts a Master of Science in Biotechnology course under KAHER. The research center strives to contribute to the health of individuals through basic and applied research.
The research area includes Biopharmaceutics Research, Microbiology Research, Molecular Biology Research, and Cell Culture Research. Additionally, There are several published research articles by the center.

2. Belagavi Institute of Medical Science (BIMS) :
Belagavi Institute of Medical Science was established in the year 2005.The research Center is located in the Ambedkar Road, Sadashiv Nagar on Belagavi in the state of Karnataka.
The Research Center is spread over an area of 33.25 acres of land beside Civil Hospital. The Research Center is affiliated to RGUHS and was recognized by National Medical Council of India. The BIMS research faculty are involved in research activities sanctioned either by RGUHS or ICMR. The undergraduate students of the Institute are also involved in the research activities.

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) is one of India’s premier technological universities, established on April 1, 1998. The research center is headquartered in Belagavi, Karnataka, .

4. ICMR-National Institute of Traditional Medicine (ICMR-NITM) :
ICMR-National Institute of Traditional Medicine is situated in RMRC ICMR Layout in Nehru Nagar, Belagavi, Karnataka. The ICMR National Institute of Traditional Medicine is an Institute of the Indian Council of Medical Research .
The Research Center was established on the 20th May 2006 as Regional Medical Research Center. Additionally, The RMRC started research on regionally relevant diseases as well as documentation and validation of various traditional medicinal remedies practiced in the region. The research Center is the only Institute in the family of ICMR which is dedicated to harnessing knowledge on Traditional Medicine .
RMRC Belagavi was upgraded to the stature of a National Institute and was renamed as ICMR-National Institute of Traditional Medicine on 20th June, 2017.
NITM researches both traditional as well as modern medicine and works on the aspects of traditional medicine that can be integrated into the modern health system.
Research on Traditional Medicine:
The focus of the Research Center is to focus on the research on Traditional Medicine which includes lifestyle and metabolic diseases, geriatric and mental disorders, viral infections, difficult to treat illnesses and some form of cancer.
Research on Non Traditional Medicine areas:
Research on the non traditional medicine side encompasses diseases of National and regional importance, outbreak investigation, disease survey, surveillance etc. NITM established a Model Rural Health Research Unit (MRHRU) at sirwar in Raichur District of Karnataka in 2014.
The research area serves as an enabler for delivery of technologies and research benefits to the underserved and marginalized people. NITM has been carrying out several research and outreach activities/collaboration with several Government Medical College, State Health Service, Research and Academic Institutions and University in the nearby region.
Additionally, the Institute have a robust Human Resource Development Programme with Post Doctoral and Doctoral Programmes being the most popular.

KLE Society’s Raja Lakhamagouda Science Institute was founded in the year 1935 and is an autonomous education institution run by the Karnataka Lingayat Education (K.L.E.) Society in Belagavi.

Maratha Mandal’s NGH Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Centre was founded in 1992 and initially offered a Bachelor of Dental Surgery program.
