Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’ campaign, the Congress will be holding public rallies on January 21 at Belagavi, Karnataka, and on January 27 at Dr. Ambedkar Nagar (Mhow), Madhya Pradesh.
The Congress ‘Jai Bapu,Jai Bhim,Jai Sanvidhan’ rally in Belagavi district, Karnataka, which was postponed last month following the demise of our Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, is now scheduled to be held on January 21, 2025.
After the meeting of General Secretaries and State in-charges held at new Congress headquarters ‘Indira Bhawan’ in Delhi ,Venugopal said that “Today, we had the meeting at Indira Bhawan to further discuss the program for the rally of ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim and Jai Samvidhan’ on 21st January. Earlier we had decided to have a rally in Belagavi which was cancelled due to the demise of Dr. Manmohan Singh. Now we are doing that rally on 21st January.”
The rally is set to demand Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s resignation over his statement on BR Ambedkar, KC Venugopal, AICC General Secretary (Organisation).
Additionally, the culmination public rally of the ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’ is scheduled to take place on 27th of January at Dr. Ambedkar Nagar in Mhow at Madhya Pradesh. The upcoming rally in Mhow will mark the 75th Anniversary of the Constitution and the establishment of India’s republic as well as it will address the the alleged attack on the legacy of Babasaheb Ambedkar by the ruling regime, stated as a party circular.
Venugopal stated,” Congress Working Committee members and PCC Presidents have been invited to the rally .Amit Shah insulted Dr. BR Ambedkar ,he did not give an apology and has not yet given any clarification over his statement.”
During the Winter Session of Parliament, Amit Shah reportedly said in the Rajya Sabha ,”If they (The Opposition) had taken the name of God as many times as they take Ambedkar’s name, they would have secured heaven for seven lives.”
Following the remarks of Amit Shah, Parliament witnessed parallel protests from both the Treasury and Opposition benched outside the parliament last week, which leaded to a huge scuffle between the two sides, with BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput who were injured.
The ruling BJP MPs were protesting against the Congress party in the premises of the Parliament for “insulting ” BR Ambedkar. INDIA Bloc MPs, led by Rahul Gandhi, held a protest in parliament, by demanding the resignation of Shah over his statement on Ambedkar.
During the clash in the parliament, BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput got severely injuries on their heads. Both the parties have reported that their members were pushed around.
Furthermore, an FIR has been registered by the Delhi Police against Rahul Gandhi regarding the incident that has occurred in the Parliament’s premises.
