Dr.Prabhakar Kore selected for Padma Shri Award who is the former chairman of the KLE society , has been selected for Padma Shri for his contribution towards literature and education. Dr.Prabhakar Kore is a educationist and and community leader from Belagavi.
Speaking to reports, he said I feel very happy because I came up with lot of hardship in my life in the last 42 years. The honour belongs to the other group members as well who worked with him equally . He said that the recognition took after decades of working hard.
Brief About Dr.Prabhakar Kore
Dr.Prabhakar Kore was born on 1st of August, 1947 in Belagavi District, Karnataka. He started his education from a Kannada school and completed his graduation. He is best known for his leadership of KLE society.
He led the KLE society for about 40 years and this society was running 30 educational institutions in 1985 when he took over. Now, it runs 316 schools, colleges and hospitals with over 18,000 staff and 1.45 lakh students.
He also had equal contribution in the promotion of education and literature.
Members of the entire KLE Society and other personalities have extended congratulations to this distinguished achievement, said a release.
