₹50,000 Fine If Found Littering in Belagavi

The Belagavi Cantonment Board has installed six CCTV cameras on the road from St. Xavier’s High School to Mahatma Gandhi Circle which is under Belagavi Cantonment limits.

₹50,000 Fine If Found Littering in Belagavi

The CCTVs are installed to prevent the littering done by the people in the place. The decision came after seeing the garbage which is under the jurisdiction of Belagavi Municipal Corporation, was being dumped in the open, especially on the roads from St. Vavier’s High School to Mahatma Gandhi Circle.

The Belagavi Cantonment Board always cares about the cleanliness of the area and city which is why the board decided to install CCTV cameras along the roads to curb the littering practice of the public.

There are a total of six cameras installed along the road that monitor and cover all the areas from St. Xavier’s High School to Mahatma Gandhi Circle.

The cases of littering and throwing garbage on the road usually happen during the night when the road is mostly empty and due to the lack of street lights people throw their garbage on the streets.

The Belagavi cantonment Board has decided to fine up to ₹50,000 for whoever is found littering and throwing garbage on the roads.
